Dr. Bill Howatt, Founder & CEO, Howatt HR, is a leading expert in workplace mental health, specializing in psychological safety and productivity. He serves on several key committees, including the CSA OHS Standards Steering Committee and as Chair of CSA Standard Z1008. Dr. Howatt co-created the Psychologically Safe Workplace Awards and the WSPS Mental Harm Prevention Road Map.

Formerly Chief of Research for Workforce Productivity at CBOC and Chief of R&D at LifeWorks, he has led impactful research on mental health in the workplace, in partnership with CSA, MHCC, and The Globe & Mail. Dr. Howatt is the founder of Howatt HR Applied Workplace Research Institute and a contributing researcher at Saint Mary’s University PHS Lab. His work continues to shape healthier, more resilient workplace environments.
