To support these individuals in building successful careers in Canada, Food Processing Skills Canada offers resources for upskilling, industry onboarding, and employer connections. By providing these essential services, we aim to ensure a smooth transition and a promising future for newcomers in the food and beverage industry.
Food Safety Readiness Program
Launch your career in Canada’s food and beverage industry. As a newcomer or international learner, this program provides you with the skills, resources, and knowledge to succeed. Complete industry-recognized training courses with professional coaching support and earn nationally-recognized certificates and an official transcript to showcase your qualifications to potential employers.
Dictionaries (Available Soon)
To support newcomers, including New Canadians and temporary foreign workers, we have developed language dictionaries for several languages including Spanish, Tagalog, and French. These dictionaries provide essential industry terminology, helping individuals navigate the Canadian food and beverage manufacturing sector. By learning industry-specific vocabulary, newcomers can enhance their English language skills and successfully integrate into the workforce.
Training in Other Languages
The Canadian Food Processors Institute offers a wide range of courses to support skills development and career advancement within the food and beverage industry. To accommodate individuals whose primary language isn’t English, many courses are available in multiple languages, including French, Russian, Tagalog, and Spanish. These courses cover a variety of topics, from technical skills like food safety and sanitation to soft skills such as emotional intelligence and leadership.
