Insights in This Report:

Foundational Workers may begin their careers as general labourers/ helpers within processing facilities and after gaining experience, progress upwards in dairy product production (inclusive of yogurt, ice cream, fermented products) or cheesemaking.

Workers who progress into Higher Skilled positions may move into Quality Control roles, playing a role in grading and inspecting cheese products.

Occupational areas such as Head Cheesemaker or Master Cheesemaker may require certification from a postsecondary training institution or professional association.
