At the time of writing, Health Cnada is reporting that there are currently 180 licensed producers operating in Canada, a growth rate of 36% since recreational cannabis came on stream.

It is estimated that in 2017, Canadians spent roughly $5.7 billion on medical and recreational cannabis combined.

There are six major players amongst Canada's licensed producers of legal cannabis. These are canopy growth Inc., Aurora Cannabis, Aphria, CannTrust Holdings, Tilray, and Cronos group Inc.
