Beverage Manufacturing
All products in the Beverage industry are ready for consumers to take a sip.
Careers are pouring out of the Beverage sector.
Here’s some areas of interest:
Ice & Water Manufacturing:
Water is the foundation of all drinks, so appropriately, we’re going to cover this one first! While you may not typically think of water or ice as something that is classified as “manufactured”, it definitely is and there’s a whole subsector dedicated to it! Whether spring water, mineral water, ice cubes, or just plain ol’ bottled water, it undergoes various purification and balancing processes to achieve the ultimate freshness. Bottled, jugged, bagged and on-tap, your H2O is easily accessed wherever you go.

Sparkling Water:
Yes, bubbly has its own category! Sparkling water is hugely popular as an everyday beverage in many countries and especially here in Canada. This subsector includes both naturally carbonated waters as well as artificially carbonated waters.

Soft Drink Manufacturing (non-alcoholic):
Here you’ll find a full range of beverages including soda and soft drinks and any natural or artificially carbonated beverage, such as Kombucha or brewed ginger beers, etc.

Other non-alcoholic drinks:
Iced tea, brewed coffee, coconut water, fruit drinks, vitamin water, electrolyte drinks are only a few examples of drinks you might find here.
*Real fruit juices are typically found in the fruit & vegetable subsector, so if you’re passionate about OJ, go check it out.

Breweries:
BEER, all types of beer: you’ve got lagers, stouts, ales, porters and non-alcoholic beers too! You’ll also find malt liquors included under breweries due to the similarity of production. Brewer’s spent grain (BSG) aka the remains of the grains after they are mashed, is a brewing byproduct that is repurposed for other food products or animal feeds.

Wineries:

Distilleries:
Alcoholic beverages, mixes and liquor including rum, whiskey, vodka, gin, etc belong in the beverage category. Any sort of mixed drink, coolers, and even pre-mixed cream-based drinks like Irish creams and alcoholic eggnogs fit here. Bet you didn’t know there were so many drink options out there?
