A new national panel representative of the entire Canadian food and beverage processing industry will be established to collect real-time data on the key areas relevant today, including recruitment and retention, supply chains and rising costs. Results will be shared across Canada to provide critical information that will guide labour and employment solutions for the industry.

Skills Training Across Canada

Micro-credential training for up to 700 Supervisors to drive new industry leaders and attract the next generation of talent. Comprehensive, online training through a blended learning approach that includes onboarding, regular check-ins, goal-driven content, coaching, gamification and self-directed technical and social emotional learning. A three month program that will provide senior level emotional intelligence strategies for SME management.

Acahkos Training & Coaching for Success

Emotional intelligence training with Acahkos for individuals in SME management roles to ensure the industry is at the forefront of management and leadership that values personal growth as much as professional development. A three-month program that will provide senior level emotional intelligence strategies for individuals in SME management roles.

Learning and Recognition Framework and Accreditation

Expanding the Learning and Recognition Framework and launching an Accreditation Strategy for post-secondary schools, employers and private trainers to better align on skills requirements, competencies and recognition across four levels: Workplace Essentials, Occupational, Supervisory and Managerial.

FoodCert Certifications

Offering new and existing Certifications including Quality Assurance Manager, Meat Cutting Professionals, Fish and Seafood Personnel, and Food Production Supervisor because raising the industry’s professional bar starts with individuals.

Speaking Food

Feeding the workforce conversation with livestream events that engage the brightest minds and leaders to lead the dialogue. Join us monthly for engaging and thought provoking discussions or ask a question and get involved with making a better future.
